December the first is World Aids Day.
Lets not forget the original red ribbon.
Aids has been around for more than 25 years now and still spreading.
It has killed more than 25 million people and an estimated 33.2 million live with HIV.
In many regions of the world, the AIDS epidemic claimed an estimated 3.1 million (between 2.8 and 3.6 million) lives in 2005, of which more than half a million (570,000) were children.
Get educated, raise awareness and be responsible.

Vintage Pyrex.

Do you like Pyrex?
I like Pyrex.
Not the shiny new stuff you can get in the shops now, the old stuff is much better.
It was produced in lovely colours with beautiful designs printed on it.
It's the stuff that reminds me of my Mum's kitchen when I was a girl.
She had wallpapered a feature wall using restaurant placemats from all over the globe and it was carpeted, yes carpeted in hideous brown patterned carpet!
Best of all she had Pyrex.

It's drizzling today and the best this about this drizzly Friday is I have the day off!!!!! Yippeee!!!!
What a great day to be home indoors, it's wet weather so I can't do the washing! (what a shame).
I may even get to finish reading Mixtape and maybe, just maybe get to do a little crafting!

my very first copy of Mixtape ( so i'm a little slow on the uptake), it's a gorgeous little crafting zine. I'm so excited.
I'm sooo looking forward to settling down with a nice cuppa and having a browse.
Can't wait for the next issue, it's a kids issue, joy!

I am one of those people who are lucky enough to have not one but two Mums!!!!!!!
How good is that and it doesn't stop there.................
They are both super awesome, lovely, creative, crafty, arty, caring mums.
But wait there's more..............
another really special thing about these mums is today is both of their birthdays!
How good is that!!!!

Help, I Think I Lost My Mojo!

I am going through some sort of off phase at the moment.
I keep coming up with these great ideas but am not able to put any into motion.
This has been getting me down a little.
When ever I get into these slumps I try to think of things my kids have said to make me smile.
One recent pearler came from my daughter not so long ago...........
When I asked my 7 year old son what he was going to be when he grows up he said " a scientist" good I thought, he's on the right track.
I then asked my 3 year old daughter what she was going to be when she grows up and she replied " a turtle", I smiled " and your going to be a kangaroo," she said.
I guess there are worse things you could be.
