The Cone Of Silence

Did you ever see Get Smart?? Not that new slick version, the hokey original with Don Adams. That's the version my crazy seven year old son is obsessed with. He does an impersonation that is spot on. Anyway this is his version of the cone of silence and yes it is the lid off my cake stand, he's very creative don't you think?

*Did a really cool behind the scenes tour of the african animals at Taronga Zoo.

*Did a really smelly behind the scenes tour of the live breeding unit at the zoo ( don't ask and if you get the chance, don't go!)YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!

*Ben had his birthday.

*Had lots of dinners out with lots of cool people.

*Had my birthday.

*Had more dinners out.

*Had an amazing weekend in the city with an amazing person, you know who you are.

*Made a really cute softie, go Herman.

*Went to IMax.

*Went to football.

*My bunny was finally auctioned for the Mirabel Foundation.

A good month was had by all.

Yummy Banana Bread!!!

In our house we love bananas so we buy lots and lots every week.
Last week the kids decided they really love apples so now we have a stock pile of over ripe bananas!
What to do, what to do..................................
Lucky for me we all really, really love banana bread, even more than apples!!!!
Here's my yummy recipe if you want to try it.


Ingredients,
2 large over-ripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs, lightly whisked
1/3 cup of canola oil
1/4 cup of milk
3/4 cup SR Flour
3/4 cup wholemeal SR Flour
1/2 teaspoon ground mixed spice.
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
Pre heat oven to 180

In a large mixing bowl sift flours, add mixed spice and brown sugar.
In a smaller bowl mix mashed bananas, eggs, oil and milk.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until combined.
Pour into a loaf tin, bake four approx one hour.
ENJOY :-)

Terrible Twos

A question.....
When do the terrible two's actually end, and what do they turn into????
We are four weeks away from the third birthday and I'm not sure we're going to make it!!!!!!
Last weekend we had an awesome relaxing birthday weekend full of love, relaxation, fine dining , exquisite hotel, imax movies and ( I hate to say it ) football. This weekend is proving to be the exact opposite!!!!
I've been punched kicked and my hand slammed in the car door!!!!
Perhaps it's the start of the traumatic and tragic threes!
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
