This is one of my favorite places in the whole world.
Norah Head, lots of great childhood memories here.

Norah Head is on a magnificent headland on the Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia, south of Newcastle and north of Sydney. It is the site of the last built significant lighthouse, a 27 metre tower, completed in 1903. (Wikipedia)

Etsy niceness from Littlest Flower.

I ordered these prints from Etsy, a clever lady named Jackie Amos made them.
I had seen prints like these from her Etsy shop ( Littlestflower ) on a few of the blogs I read and decided I needed to own a few myself.
Aren't they beautiful, and to top it all off it was the best Etsy transaction I have ever done.
It took an amazingly three days to arrive, they came carefully and beautifully packaged and she even slipped in a print for free!!!!!
That never happens.

Is it wrong for boys to finger knit????
Today is Duncan's news day at school. Usually on a Friday morning we are in a panic as Duncan can't think of anything he would like to talk about for news and we have tears right before leaving for school as he makes a decision right as we walk out the door.
Today was different. Today when asked what he wanted to do for news he fired a reply back immediately. "I'm going to teach everyone to finger knit," he said proudly. I taught him this new skill purely to get him of the damn playstation.
We set off for school and I was kind of hoping he would forget about it but when we got there he started finger knitting in the playground. His friends came over to see what he was doing, smirked and then went off to play handball. My heart sank, he didn't seem to notice and kept going.
I just hope he doesn't get teased, maybe he should have taken the piece of wood he broke with his bare hands at Tae Kwan Do.
The upside is when I left the school he had about 10 girls eating out of the palm of his hand, maybe that was his plan all along.
When I was looking at flickr to see if there are any other boys finger knitting there were heaps of girls and only one boy.
What do you think, should seven year old boys finger knit?????

Hooray For Spring!!!!!!

and not that kind of spring!
I am so over winter. I am not a cold weather person and I can't stand cold and drizzly days. Don't even get me started on the snow!
I work with little children and live with two of my own that the sun shine out of yet being trapped inside with one child let alone multiple children on a cold wet day is not fun at all!!!!
Thank goodness the sun has returned, the days are getting longer, the gardens are blooming and the washing is finally getting dry. Bring on the summer, mmmmmmmm summmmmmmeerrrrr.

I have to admit I am a little disappointed. It seems Jermain has gone out and gotten Married. You can't imagine my disappointment, I thought I was the most beautiful girl in the room. Maybe I'll have to give up my part time modelling gig! aaaaahhhhrrrrrgggggggggg!

The Cone Of Silence

Did you ever see Get Smart?? Not that new slick version, the hokey original with Don Adams. That's the version my crazy seven year old son is obsessed with. He does an impersonation that is spot on. Anyway this is his version of the cone of silence and yes it is the lid off my cake stand, he's very creative don't you think?
