Finally (trumpets please), some crafting!!!!!!!!!
I am finding it harder and harder to find time to make my little creations these days but here's one that is nearly complete.......

It's been a long time coming but I really enjoy making these little guys when I get the chance.
The pattern is from this book........


This one is for a friend who is expecting and I have another that will be heading off to the Toy Society.
The Toy Society is a great project that leaves toys in totally random places for unsuspecting lucky people. It brings joy and happiness to everyone involved. They have a blog too!
I found out about it through Curlypops blog (thanks Curlypops), anyway it's back to the crochet 'cause I can't wait to do my part.

In My Kitchen.

This is the rare and elusive Cappuccino Tray Monster, I found this specimen in my kitchen on Sunday morning. He can be quite shy at times but once settled can be tamed.
One of his greatest attributes is his kindness, they often leave hot frothy cappuccinos and sometimes beautiful flowers!
If you ever find one of these rare beings I recommend keeping it, not this one though, this one's taken!!!!

Little Golden Books -1975

This was my 2nd birthday, happy birthday to me!
Anyway I think this is where it all started ( my little golden book fetish).
If you look very closely you will notice in my birthday stash my very first Little Golden Books.
I look very happy don't I!
It's at this point I will also add not only was my mum a groovy chick but a talented softie maker too, notice the kangaroo. What an inspiration, thanks mum x.

A Week Of Little Golden Books- Eloise Wilkin

Another one of my favorite illustrators is Eloise Wilkins.
She has a great style when it comes to children, they all have these sweet chubby cheeks!!!
I've always thought this one reminds me of my own daughter.
This pic is from Prayers for Children, 1952.
I also love her illustrations of Hansel and Gretal, a great one to watch out for.

Sneaky Blogging, sshhhhhhhhhhh.

I'm at work at the moment and am sneaking in some secret squirrel blogging, he he he. I'm not that bad, I'm actually on my lunch break but really I should be using this computer for work related stuff, blah blah blah. I feel very sneaky!!!
Managed to fit in some crochet in my lunch break too, I'm really on fire today. Anyway, checking in on my blog and I've been pleasently suprised to find someone nominated me as one of their favorite blogs. Thanks Mellimoomoo :-) Now all I have to do is work out how to link back to hers and six more blogs and I'll be over the moon! I'll get back to you, it's back to work for now.
